April 23rd - It's out!

Hi all!

As most of you will know by now: our full length album is out now! It was released on april 1st during our CD release show at the Cacaofabriek in Helmond. The release show was a blast! We had a great time with End Of The Dream, and the people in our choir, who performed with us for this occasion only.

If you want to order our album, you can do that through www.fmls.biz. We hope you enjoy listening to our album as much as we love making it!

Right now we're working on pretty exciting things behind the scenes with our management: JBM Events. Stay tuned for updates!

March 22nd - Almost...!

Hi all!

We're almost there...the release of our album, titled 'A Moment Of Black'. If you follow us on Facebook you've seen all the recent updates so we're not going to repeat them here. In short: april first will mark the release of our new album and the CD release show. If you haven't bought your tickets yet, you should do it right now! The evening will contain a few nice surprises: you can enjoy our friends of End Of The Dream, and you can enjoy a very special performance by yours truly. We will be accompanied on stage by (several!) guests and we will perform a few songs in an alternative version. Afterwards we will have a nice party, so there's absolutely no reason for not coming!

January 31st, 2016 - Long overdue update

Hi all!

It's been quite a while since this website has been updated, but that doens't mean nothing has happened. Quite the opposite!

If you follow our Facebook account (what are you waiting for if you don't!) you've seen that we have signed a record deal with Painted Bass Records, Who are part of JBM Events. They've worked with famous international artists like Textures, Damian Wilson, Anneke van Giersbergen, Maiden United, Redemption, etc. We will release our upcoming full length album on Painted Bass Records on April 1st 2016.

April 1st will also mark the day of our CD release show. We will be joined by our friends in End Of The Dream and we'll perform two sets ourselves. Both sets will include some nice surprises, so make sure you'll come to the release show!

The last few months we have been concentrating on finishing the mix, masters and artwork of our album, which is now officially done! Furthermore we are in preparation of the CD release show and we're already working on new songs. As far as live performances go, we are taking it somewhat easy right now. Once our album is out, we'll hit the stage again, so watch out for new dates!

October 31st, 2015 - Exciting news!

The last few weeks there have been some very exciting developments in the Beyond God camp. Because of these developments, very promising opportunities will cross our path in the future to come. Before we can tell you all about this, we have to inform you that our CD Release Party (and subsequent the release of our full length album) will be postponed to a new date. We are sorry for the inconvenience this change of date may cause for all who made plans to come to the party, but we are convinced this is the best decision for the good of Beyond God.

And now the good news...

We are in the final stages of negotiations with a very well known management/promo/booking agency and record label. We are confident they are the right partner to bring us to the next level, and beyond. The release of our album will now be placed in a comprehensive plan, that consists of gigs, press related issues, and so on. To make sure this plan will lead to the best possible result, we have to postpone our release party. We can reveal details about the new release party in the coming weeks.

We are very excited to see what the future will bring us. Furthermore we can't wait to present you our upcoming album. The album is pretty much finished and we are extremely happy with the result. Stay tuned for more news and updates in the coming weeks. If you can't wait to see us live, make sure you visit one (or more) of our upcoming gigs!

August 2nd, 2015 - CD Release Party!

On November 21st we will celebrate the release of our full length album with a CD release party at De Bosuil in Weert. This will be a very special evening, with quite a few very cool surprises. We hope to see you all at De Bosuil so we can celebrate this milestone with you!!

Meryl, Lukasz, Ferry, Twan

July 5th, 2015 - Summer's here!

Hi Guys 'n' Gals! It's been a few months since our last message, but that doesn't mean nothing has happened! Those of you who follow us on Facebook have seen regular updates, but for those who don't: The last few months have been going really well. We've had some really great gigs with bands like End Of The Dream, La Ventura, In Tension, and Impulse. We met some really nice people and we've received great reactions on our music and live show. So a big thank you to all the people that came out to one or more of our shows, we really appreciate it!

During the summer months we won't be performing live. Instead, we're focussing on new songs, and the production of our upcoming album. The first mixes are already done and they sound very promising. It's a big step up from our EP, so we can't wait for you to hear the album.

Well, for now it's just a small update. You can expect some more news about our upcoming album and the way we will be releasing it, so stay tuned! On September 18 we will return to the stage. It'll be a small rendez-vous because we're playing in Podium 10 in Bladel. Two years ago Beyond God performed for the very first time in Podium, to it's nice to go back there again. Hope to see you in Bladel!

Cheers!

March 22nd, 2015 - Change of personnel

Besides all the positive news going on in the Beyond God camp, we regret to inform you about the latest developments. Unfortunately we have to let Cynthia go as our front lady. This has been a very difficult decision but we feel it is in the best interest of Beyond God to continue without her. We value the time we had together but unfortunately that time has now come to an end. We appreciate all her contributions to BG and look back on the last few years with a feeling of pride and joy. Cynthia will remain an important part of Beyond God history. We wish Cynthia and her family all the very best, both personally as well as professionally!

Fortunately for Beyond God we can already proudly present Cynthia’s replacement. Meryl Foreman, who has been singing with us as ‘back-up singer’ for the last couple of months, will be our new permanent front lady, starting immediately. We are absolutely confident that Meryl is the right person to join us, both musically as well as personally, on the exciting journey that lays ahead of us and we can’t wait to see where it takes us.

This change of personnel will not affect our agenda in any way. All live dates will continue as planned, just as the recordings for the upcoming studio album. We look forward to seeing you during our gigs!

Cheers!

March 21st, 2015 - Worldwide promotion deal

We are very proud to announce that we have signed a worldwide promotion deal with Metal Revelation (www.metalrevelation.com). With years of experience with famous bands such as Rhapsody Of Fire and Manowar, Metal Revelation will take care of all promotion related work for us. That way we can focus our attention on the creative side of things and use the worldwide network of Metal Revelation at the same time. A good promotion strategy is very important to make Beyond God a success and we’re confident that Metal Revelation will provide us with all the ingredients needed.

Keep your eyes on our Facebook or website for more updates. Meanwhile, don’t forget our gigs next month: April 17th in PopEi, Eindhoven and April 25th in Todo, Best. Hope to see you all there!

February 9th, 2015 - Off to a good start

The first few weeks of 2015 have been great! We've had three great gigs where we met a lot of nice people. A big thanks to Seventh Sin, A New Dawn, Dance With Dragons and Conspiracy Of Seven for sharing the stage with us, and to all the people who came out to watch us perform live: It was our pleasure!

Our next gigs are planned for April. In the meantime we'll be concentrating on new songs and some 'organizational and business stuff'. We have written a few new songs already, and we're looking forward to play them live. So...if you want to hear some new music, come to one of our shows in Eindhoven or Best (or both of them of course)!

January 6th, 2015 - Busy year ahead

First of all: Happy New Year to all of you! May 2015 bring you what you're wishing for!

The last few months we've been working hard on organising live dates for 2015. You can find all confirmed dates under 'live' on this website. As you can see 2015 will be quite busy for us, but we'll probably add some more dates as time goes by.

Furthermore, 2015 will mark the release of our full length album. Of course we can't let this go by unnoticed, so we're working on a nice surprise to celebrate our release. Recordings for the album so far are on schedule. All instruments have been recorded, all that remains now are vocals. We'll be busy with vocal recordings, mixing and mastering for the first half of 2015 so we can release the album after the summer.

That's it for now. Stay tuned for more news!

October 25th, 2014 - New live dates

We're happy to announce a few new live dates! We've been quite busy organizing these gigs and we're really looking forward to play live again. Meanwhile, rehearsals with Meryl have been going great. Just come to one of our gigs (or all of them!) and see for yourself!

September 17th, 2014 - Exciting news

We have some exciting news…Our very own Cynthia is pregnant! At the stage of our lives where we are in right now, this is of course very common. Due to physical restraints however, this means that Cynthia won’t be able to perform live with us for a while. So for now Cynthia will focus her attention on recording sessions for our upcoming album, and writing lyrics and vocal lines for new songs. The four of us decided it is best for Beyond God to look for a singer who can replace Cynthia during our live gigs, until Cynthia is fit to perform live again. The last few weeks we’ve been looking for a new singer, and we are very happy to welcome the young, but very talented Meryl Foreman to Beyond God. She’ll join us on stage (and in rehearsal) until Cynthia is back again. We expect to announce some live dates soon, so stay tuned!

August 28th, 2014 - Gig cancelled

Due to circumstances beyond our control, our planned concert with Seventh Sin on September 6th in Odeon, Veldhoven will be re-scheduled to a new date. This new date will be communicated as soon as possible. Furthermore the line-up will be extended in such a way that the event will become a true female fronted festival. We will keep you updated!

July 22nd, 2014 - New pictures

As you may have seen already we have some new pictures on our site. Check out the photos, made by Ton Dekkers, on the 'bandpage' as well if you like. Furthermore don't forget our next gig on september 6th. We'll announce some news on this gig as soon as possible.

June 25th, 2014 - And then there were four

Unfortunately our cello player, Anna Agnes Nagy, can't support Beyond God anymore because she will join a musical program abroad that will take up a lot of her time. We're very sorry that our cooperation has lasted for only a few months, but the progam she will be joining is a great opportunity for Anna to grow as musician and person.

We'd like to thank Anna for her support over the last few months and we wish her all the best!

Anna's departure doesn't mean Beyond God will slow down. Expect some exciting news in the near future....

April 28th, 2014 - Blast from the past and in the future to come

Yesterday's gig at Dynamo Eindhoven was a blast! Besides we got to share the stage with the very nice people in Ex Libris and Kowai, this gig was also the first gig with our new cello player Anna Agnes Nagy. We were very excited to show how Beyond God sounds with live classical instruments. We knew ourselves it was going to be great, but it was nice to hear from the people in the audience that they really enjoyed it.

So what will the near future bring us? In the coming weeks we'll finish two new songs. Besides working on new songs, we're slowly starting up recording the 'old' songs for our upcoming full length album. In june we'll be having a photoshoot with the new Beyond God lineup, so you can see what Anna and Lukasz look like. Finally, we hope to add some more live dates soon, so be sure to check our website or facebook account for updates.

Cheers!

April 6th, 2014 - Beyond God signs with promotion agency Metal Empire

We're very pleased to announce that we have signed a collaboration contract with artist management and promotion agency Metal Empire. We got in contact with Metal Empire during an interview with Lords of Metal. Metal Empire's front man Sjak Roks, who has got years of experience at Lords of Metal, will be our companion to address the booking and promotional side of Beyond God so we can remain focused on how it all started: creating great music.

March 13th, 2014 - New live date

We're happy to announce a new live date! At april 27th we'll play at the famous Dynamo in Eindhoven, together with our friends in Ex Libris and Kowai. We're celebrating a 'heavy lazy sunday afternoon' so be there on time. This is your chance to see Beyond God with Anna for the first time! You can read more info on our 'live' page.

February 25th, 2014 - Beyond God welcomes Anna Agnes Nagy as new bandmember!

Hi Folks!

Last saturday we had a great rehearsal with Hungarian cello player Anna Agnes Nagy. So as of now, Beyond God consists of 5 musicians! We all had the feeling that all musical pieces fit together really well. Having a cello player play with us, means that our music gets a whole new dimension. We can't wait to improve everything even more and to play our music on stage, to show you how cool our music sounds with a real cello. On our media page you can see a little video of last saturday's rehearsal to get an impression on how we'll sound.

Because of the changed line-up we'll organise a photo shoot as soon as possible, so we can update our website and you can read all about our new members.

Cheers!

February 16th, 2014 - Live show in Dordrecht cancelled

Unfortunately we have to inform you that our next live show in Dordrecht on February 22nd has been cancelled, due to reasons beyond our control. However, we're going to reschedule the show. We'll put a new date on our site as soon as we can. Besides our show in Dordrecht, we're working on several other shows. Expect these to show up on our site in the next few weeks... That's it for now...but expect updates very soon!

Cheers!

February 15th, 2014 - A new year, and new prospects

Hi all! Again, a little while since our last update. So this one is long overdue. For those of you that are following us on Facebook, you know that things in the Beyond God camp are progressing nicely. We've already played our first live show in 2014. On january 3rd we played at The Rambler in Eindhoven. It turned out afterwards that, sadly enough, we were one of the last bands to play this illustrious venue. Luckily we had a good time, and there turned out be a nice audience: some new faces, some familiar faces, so we had a blast!

The last few weeks we have been focussing our attention on a couple of new things. We've been talking with a company who are interested in being our bookingsagency. Furthermore we are looking to expand the Beyond God family. We've been talking to a Hungarian cello player, Anna Agnes Nagi, who lives in The Netherlands, to see if we can join forces. We're really excited to see if we can make this work, and if Anna can join us. Hopefully we can give you an update about both situations real soon.

Talking about the Beyond God family...we've already had a pretty big change. Like our Facebook followers already know: Peter den Bakker has left Beyond God. He's been replaced by Lukasz Kubaszak: a Polish bass player who lives in The Netherlands as well. We've played our first two live gigs with Lukasz and they turned out great. As soon as we have had a new photoshoot, we'll update the band members section.

That's it for now...but expect updates very soon!

Cheers!

November 2nd, 2013 - A few months along the road

It's been a while since our last 'News-update' but that doesn't mean nothing has happened. Au contraire! Since we've made ourselves known to the world, we've had a lot of positive reactions from our friends and family, from music lovers in general, from other bands, from press and we probably forget some people. Thank you all for you enthusiasm and support!

The last few months we have refined our live show and we are now ready to play our music live. The first couple of live dates have been confirmed and more are yet to follow. We're looking forward to play our songs for you, and to hear what you think of them. If you can make it, it would be really nice to see you at one of our shows.

Furthermore, we have started preproduction on our upcoming full length album. All songs are finished, and we'll start recording in the next few weeks. We're aiming at a release in the second half of 2014.

July 1st, 2013 - Presenting Beyond God

We are very proud to present to you...Beyond God!

After years of hard work we're finally ready to present ourselves to the world. What started off with orchestral ideas from Ferry, became proper symphonic metal songs in 2012. After the songs were more or less completed, we've been very busy recording them and finally mixing and mastering our debut EP at Studio Rockblender with Ivo Guns helping us out. Besides all things music related, wehad to take care of all side issues as well, like artwork, website, promo material, some sort of business plan, etc. It's been a long journey, but also a fun one and we've learned a lot on the way.

So now our debut EP is finished and available through this website! What more do we have in store?. Well, right now we're refining our live show so we can perform on stage soon. Expect to find live dateson our site shortly. After that, we will be focussing on our full length album. All songs are finished, so now everything will need to be recorded, mixed and mastered. We're aiming at a release date in 2014. Until you can listen to our full length album, we hope you enjoy our EP and come to see us 'live in concert'!

Beyond God

March 4th, 2013 - Tracking vocals part 2

At last, all recordings are done! It took a little more time than we had expected but we're really happy with the results. With all recordings done, we now have to edit, mix and master everything.
We'll be very busy doing just that in the coming weeks. These are the final steps to our first EP, and we're very excited to finally let the world hear our music!

January 7th, 2013 - Photoshoot and artwork

It's been a while since our last update, but that doesn't mean nothing has happened. We've actually done quite some work during the last few weeks. Last week we had our first photoshoot. Despite thefact that it was freezing cold, we think the photos have turned out great. It was fun to see that some of us had a little experience with shoots like this, and others… well....didn't.
We also made some good progress on our artwork. Not only the album covers for the EP, but also flyers, business cards, stickers, et cetera. Everything is pretty much done. All we have to do now is record all vocals (for the second time) and after that we have to mix and master everything. Still aiming for an early spring release.

October 16th, 2012 - Tracking bass

It seems we've taken another step yet. Bass recordings are pretty much done! We do have a minor setback though: we weren't completely satisfied with the recording quality of the vocals, so we've decided to record all vocals for a second time. This means some extra work (obviously), but we want our EP as good as it can possibly be. We're aiming for a release date in early spring 2013.

September 19th, 2012 - Album Cover

We've received a concept version of our album cover.
Looks nice! Although it's not finished yet we're certain that we'll be happy with the end result.

By the way, the artist that makes our cover art is a Canadian artist. You can check out her work here!

September 2nd, 2012 - Tracking vocals

Unfortunately we have some bad news...summer and our holidays are over.
Good news is...we've finished tracking vocals for the 4 songs that'll end up on our demo.

We're not really objective by any means, but damn, we're sure Cynthia is going to rock your socks off! Now on to recording bass!.

April 29th, 2012 - Milestone

Another (small) milestone. This weekend we've recorded all guitars for 9 out of 10 songs.
Not bad for two days work. But as a result we look like zombies (even more than we normally do) and we could sleep for five days straight. Furthermore we've decided to release a demo with 4 songs, instead of a full album.
In the coming weeks we're going to edit the guitar tracks for those 4 songs. On the vocal front things are progressing as well.
Our main focus is on the 4 songs that will end up on our demo, but that doesn't mean the other songs are getting overlooked.
The bass parts for all of our songs are actually finished for 90%. There's still some fine-tuning to do, but that'll work out just fine.

With a nice summer ahead of us, we're planning at tracking vocals and bass in September, so we can spend the rest of the year producing our album.

January 1st, 2012 - Soprano

It seems like Beyond God is a proper band now. We've found ourselves a soprano. And a very, very good one might we add. Her name is Cynthia Knoch and she's originally from Luxembourg. Cynthia is a professional soprano and has studied classical music. With the four of us we're going to finish all the songs in the months to come. We're all excited to see the songs taking shape and we're working very hard to finally release our first album.

December 13th, 2011 - Working the guitar

The last few weeks we've been working on the guitar parts for our upcoming album. Things are progressing nicely, but there's still a lot of work to do though.

November 3rd, 2011 - Guitarist

Beyond God has become a little bigger. We now have a guitarist! His name is Twan Smolders. You can check out his profile on the members page.
